California Dreaming
What's with the cows? Why a comic strip about ruminants? Actually, the strip is not about cows at all, but life in modern California, and Silicon Valley in particular. The cows started to appear in my landscape paintings, and when I needed characters for this strip, they volunteered. And immediately took it over. Since then, I've tried to introduce other characters, like a squirrel, a bear, and seals, but the sassy cows want none of that. California Dreaming has been running weekly in the Campbell Express since 2010.
