Baldur the Berserker

Baldur the Berserker is a little Viking who just can't wait to be a pillaging and plundering grown-up. Baldur spends his days in eager anticipation of coming glory and riches in the company of his proud longship, the Öseberg. His ship, however, couldn't care less about fame and fortune, dreaming instead of early retirement at a nice dock somewhere, preferably in a warmer climate down south. Fully grown people seem to be few and far between in the Viking village, and Helga – a girl of about Baldur's age - serves as the strip's figure of authority. She works hard to keep him in line, but apparently without much luck. Outside the village, the occasional troll can be found. And who knows what else. It's a magical world.

Paintings

If there's a common denominator in my work, it's probably that none of it should be taken too seriously – art is far too important for that.
